In sheets of 50 - 2 panes of 25 - and a minisheet which has a se-tenant pair. The 50c stamp shows the Eureka flag, the Southern Cross as it was known then. The $2.45 portrays Peter Lalor who led the diggers and later became a Member of Parliament. The minisheet also has the diggers' oath and sketches of the uprising by Charles Doudiet, also a member of the rebellion. |
